The New Empire campaign is a table top Birthright™ campaign that’s made a small move to the digital domain to include players that are not local to us. The goal was to make it a play by email or play by post; however, it is not open to a lot of players due to time constraints on the GM.

The campaign has been running since TSR launched the game setting in 1995.

The campaign began in the game year 551 MR. with the Anuirean Empire in turmoil and various peers of the realm vying for the Iron Throne of Anuire. The Duke of Diemed’s second son, Madoc rises to the throne of Diemed upon the death of his father Heirl. Instead of claiming the Iron Throne like all the other great nobles, Madoc sets aside his claim and in an unprecedented move, swears fealty to the Empire and the ruler who will eventually be chosen to rule Anuire.
